All processed data is everyday kept on spare copies on special servers made for this purpose and additionally on external carriers – LTO tapes. According to the KGW Security Policy, carriers containing data (LTO tapes) are periodically transported to the bank hiding place by authorised persons. It enables reconstructing all data with KGW history as well in case of any breakout. This reconstruction is not only precise to one day where data from few weeks back is concerned but helps in case of total data destruction.

Additionally data and its copies are protected via following programme protections:

• spare copies made by menas of data storing carriers;
• important data from data bases is simultaneously protected on many servers;
• spare copies are made in such a way that every time it is necessary particular servers and all KGW IT system could be regenerated;
• only appointed administrators have access to create and recreate spare copies;
• special tests for correct spare copies making and recovering are made in regular intervals of time.
